Frequently Asked Questions
What populations do you work with?

I work with individuals over the age of 18.
At this time, I do not work with couples or families in psychotherapy.

Are sessions in-person or online?

I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.

How frequent are sessions?

Frequency of sessions is determined on a case by case basis after an assessment period. My recommendation for session frequency is based on a variety of factors including the nature and duration of your concern(s), the severity of impairment by said concern(s), and our availability.
Typically, I see my patients at least once a week and as often as five days a week.

Do you prescribe medication?

I do not prescribe medication, but may offer a referral to a provider who can.

Do you accept insurance?
I do not directly bill health insurance (including Medicare) and my services are considered out-of-network. If you have out-of-network healthcare benefits, you may be reimbursed a portion of treatment fees by submitting a superbill (a receipt that contains required insurance information), which I'm happy to provide you. Please be aware your insurance plan may cover all, some, or none of these services. Before starting therapy, I strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify your out-of-network coverage of outpatient mental health services (i.e. therapy).

I maintain a few spots in my practice for individuals who may have difficulties affording therapy out-of-pocket.
Feel free to inquire if I have any sliding scale openings.
